Men's XC 37th at Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Matched against some of the strongest NCAA Division I and II cross country teams plus an array of quality NAIA opponents, the Lee men finished 37th out of 68 squads in the Blue and Gold divisions of the Greater Louisville Classic.

In he men’s race, Caleb Morgan led Lee’s runners, finishing 162nd (26:18.50) followed by freshman, Steven Snyder 187th (26:32.66), Mike Walker 206th (26:44.95), Matt Mitchell 220th (26:53.49), freshman, Andrew Darwin 250th (27:17.83), Nathan Bennett 274th (27:43.63),Will Jayroe 291st (28:12.45), freshman, Nathaniel Sexton 297th (28:29.32) and Josiah Young 310th (29:00.35).

The University of Louisville walked away with first place honors and the University of Kentucky placed second, followed by the University of Tennessee. Stephen Sambu of Rend Lake College took top honors in the individual competition with a time of 23:33.22. Carlson Kemei of McKendree College was second at 23:47.48.
The Flames will return to Louisville on Oct. 24 and take part in the annual Southeast Classic.
