The Lee volleyball team scored its seventh straight win and improved to 14-4 overall by defeating SSAC opponent Brenau University, 3-0 (25-11, 25-11, 25-18) on Tuesday evening in Walker Arena.

"I challenged our girls to stay motivated, and they did," said coach Andrea Hudson. The Lady Flames helped their coach celebrate her 600th college volleyball coaching win last Saturday, and Hudson stressed that she wanted her team to play with the same motivation in every match.

"Even our reserves played at the same level," Hudson pointed out. Her Lady Flames face three road matches before returning to Walker Arena for contests with Covenant College and Emory University on Oct. 10.

Milica Krsmanovic again stepped up to lead the Lady Flames. The senior had eight kills (.583 attack percentage) and seven aces. Jacky Toruno and Kayla Carlisle added seven slams apiece. All totaled Lee had 40 kills to just 16 for the losers. Toruno also had a pair of blocks as did Vedrana Krsmanovic.

Sara Smith came up with seven digs and three aces. Stephanie Todd was the dig leader while Gretchen Higdon added five. Higdon dished off 16 assists and Kelsey Leffew contributed eight. Gorana Maric did good work at the net with three blocks.

Audra Van Arsdale paced the losers with 16 assists. Courtney Frady joined in with eight digs and Karen Green was the kill leader with seven.
