Winning conference championships has become the norm for coach Andrea Hudson and her Lady Flames volleyball team. Lee wrapped up another SSAC title with a 3-0 victory over Southern Wesleyan University on Tuesday evening.

The 25-18, 25-13 and 27-25 triumph over the visiting Warriors improved the Lady Flames' record to 10-0 in conference play and 27-5 overall. With only SSAC matches with Brenau and Columbia College remaining and holding a three-match advantage over Shorter College, another title belongs to the Hudsons.

Still ranked 22nd in the latest NAIA national poll, Hudson used reserves freely during all three sets. Sophomore Christa Hutchison, junior Kayla Carlisle and senior Milica Krsmanovic stepped up to pace the Lady Flames in kills with seven. Carlisle had three blocks and Hutchison and Krsmanovic two each.

The athletic Jacky Toruno displayed her talents at the net with six blocks and six kills. Gretchen Higdon and Kelsey Leffew were present to dish off assists to the big three. Higdon was the leader with 20 and Leffew totaled 14. Higdon also registered three aces and nine digs. Sara Smith chipped in with 10 digs and Leffew dug up seven.

For the battling Warriors, Jordan Corn was best with nine kills and three blocks. Lane Wallace recorded six kills, while Emily Cothran came away with 22 assists. Cothran joined Katelyn Barnes as the dig leaders, each had nine.

The Lady Flames will complete regular-season SSAC play this weekend, traveling to face Brenau on Friday and moving on to Columbia, S.C. for a noon match on Saturday.
